Affectionately known as Cronky, he was also called Dad, Pops, Grandpa, Papa, and Gramps.
Warren passed away following a courageous battle with cancer, ultimately succumbing to respiratory complications from pneumonia a month later on January 02,2026.
Born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan, he relocated to the Comox Valley as a young child. Warren became a Boy Scout and later achieved the rank of Queen Scout. After graduating from Vanier Senior Secondary School, he pursued his passion for architecture and then became a carpenter. A man of diverse talents, he crafted stunning homes and undertook countless renovation projects. If you needed assistance, Warren was the go-to person, capable of tackling nearly any home improvement task.
Warren is survived by his wife Carol, his greatest joy in life, and their children: Sue (Chris), Paul (Lisa), Tracy, Andrea (Jim), and Sarah, along with 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Warren had a unique ability to see potential in those who doubted themselves, offering support and encouragement to help them realize their capabilities. This commitment to uplifting others was a vital aspect of his life and legacy.
Warren cherished family gatherings, camping trips, and what he fondly referred to as "Cronky Happy Hour," where he excelled as a host. He had a passion for sports, classic country music, and dancing. In his younger years, he was actively involved with the Comox Valley Kinsmen and served as a dedicated member of the Black Creek Lions Club.
If Warren loved you, you felt it deeply, and he would go to great lengths for you. His quick wit and sarcastic humor were often highlighted by memorable one-liners.
Warren's smile and love will forever remain in our hearts.
