Vida May Ross

Vida May Ross (March 9, 1928 -  March 29, 2025)

Vida live a long and happy life and passed away peacefully March 29th. 

Vida was born in Kamloops and raised in North Bend. She moved to the Comox Valley in the 1950s along with her husband Gordon (Cal) Calvert. Upon their separation in 1972, she moved to Victoria and worked for BC Ferries. She returned to Courtenay in 2004. Vida was an avid gardener and gardened well into her 90s. She loved dogs and trained and showed her five golden retrievers.

Vida is survived by her loving daughters Colleen Leary, Karen Calvert, Kerri Calvert, Shannon Calvert, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her brother Dayton Ross. Predeceased by her brother Ivan (Skip).
