Predeceased by husband Jack. Survived by children Cindy (Jim) and Brian; grandsons Richard (Mandy), Kevin (Dawn), Corey, Jordan (Alisha) and Daniel (Lanaina); four great grandsons.Velma was born in Fairview AB. She and Jack moved to Ladysmith in 1967, where she became involved in Eagles and Brownies, followed by years at the Ladysmith Primary School Library.

A Memorial Service for Velma will be held at a later date.
