Tom “Plug” Miller Passed away peacefully February 4th, 2026, at the Comox Valley Hospital. Tom was born in Cumberland March 26, 1941. Tom started in the logging industry at 15 years old working with various companies until starting work with CFP in Woss in 1966. He retired in 2001 after 38 years of service as a grapple operator. Tom was predeceased by his sister Marlene Simms and brother Dennis Miller. He is survived by loving wife of 66 years Marie Miller, sister Glenda (Scott) Inrig, brother Kevin (Kathy)Miller, daughter Kim (Wes) Whyte, Son Glen (Trisha)Miller, grandsons Adam (Darrylyn) Whyte, Evan (Ashley) Whyte, and 4 great grandchildren, his nephews Mike (Maureen) Miller, Jeffery (Katelyn) Miller, and many other family members. Tom was very proud to have been born in Cumberland, BC and being known as a “Down the Camp Kid”. He was also proud of his work ethic, 45 years with no time lost, his Scottish heritage and his lifelong friendships with the “Up the lake guys”. The family would like to thank the 4th floor B wing staff at the Comox Valley Hospital also friends Joe, Dave, Mike, Rennie, Gord Carter, Kenny Shaw. A gathering of memory will be held at a later date.
