Terrance George Verner

Terry was born in Welland, Ontario on July 5, 1935.  He came out to Victoria and started his Electrical career that lasted more than 50 years.  He worked on many jobs up and down the island and Mt. Washington.  Terry and Marlene were married in 1979 and moved to Courtenay for his work.  He was a terrific sportsman. His favorite was hockey. Terry played in the old timers division and met a really great group of guys.  When it came time to hang up his skates, he turned to watch hockey on T.V. and could tell you each player’s name no matter what team they were on. Brother-in-law Rick and Terry talked and discussed hockey plays after the games. But Terry’s favourite were the hours out on the water fishing with the boys and he really loved any time he could spend with his daughters; Shelly (Seattle, Washington) and Debbie (Ian) and their dogs (Victoria, B.C). Marlene and Terry had a wonderful life spending time with the grand kids and friends camping, fishing and loving it all. All who met Terry saw his kind heart and gentle soul.  He will never be forgotten ad will always remain in our hearts.

There will be no formal service at Terry's request.
