Shirley Ann Hunter Born in Victoria on February 10, 1944, she passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2023, in the Comox Valley. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Roy and their son Walter. Remaining children are Carol, Arnold, Stephen and Glen.
Mom stayed strong in her faith even though things changed through the years. She was still able to attend the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses via phone because of her best friend Linda. Mom lived life to the fullest of her ability – many hunting and fishing trips with friends and family.
Mom had many fuzzy creatures throughout the years that gave her great pleasure, each with their own unique name.
Unfortunately, mom succumbed to Stage 4 cancer. Her last remaining months were spent living at her son Stephen’s home. At this time he would like to say Thank you to her health care team. Dr. Farnsworth, Home Care Nursing, her pharmacist who went above and beyond, and most of all Home Support – Together you made an amazing team. With the support that you all provided I was able to free up more of my time to spend it with my mom – laughing, crying, and relaxing in bed with her watching TV.
Pleasant dreams mom.
