Sharon Margaret Jane King(Lemmon) September 30, 1962 - January 7, 2025

Sharon passed peacefully on January 7th after having been able to spend time with family and friends over the holiday season. Sharon had experienced many health challenges over the years and showed great determination to fight as long as she could.

Her large family; husband Don, father Ross and brothers Ralph, Larry and Richard and their families will miss her greatly. She was ‘Auntie Sharon’ to many including an extended group within her chosen family. She was also a treasured member of Don’s Newfoundland family. Sharon has known the love and support of a close group of loyal friends she has gathered over the years.
Sharon was never happier than when she was baking in the kitchen. She loved to experiment in search of the perfect loaf of bread and was always sharing the results with friends, family and neighbours.

Born and schooled in Nanaimo, Sharon moved with Don from Winnipeg, where they met, to Yellowknife and Inuvik in the Northwest Territories; Saskatoon, SK, and eventually back to Nanaimo. Sharon worked in the social services support field in many capacities followed by a number of years in the family business.
The family would like to thank the many skilled health care providers at NRGH who gave compassionate care in the last couple of years. In particular; Dr. David Sims, Dr. Blair Fulton and Dr. Joris Wiggers.

At Sharon’s request there will be no funeral service.
