It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Jean Malloy, announce her passing on the morning of Saturday, September 18th, 2021.
Phyllis Jean fought a hard battle with cancer that spanned several months.
Phyllis & her husband, Ken Giles, were the founders of Cariboo House of Hose & Belting 2000-2016. Ken predeceased Phyllis, with his passing from a long battle with cancer in 2013. When CJS Services merged the companies, Phyllis was instrumental in transitioning Cariboo to CJS.
Many will remember her cheery telephone voice and her dry-wit and wicked sense of humour, but seriously her ability to remember customers part numbers from memory was amazing! It was always a pleasure and a welcome surprise when she would show up at the office even after she retired.
Phyllis retired in 2016 to spend more time up at the cabin at Puntzi Lake, BC. and traveling all over with her partner and travel companion, Fernand Samson
Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Ken Giles and her sister Marie Philips. She is survived by her son Charles Jeffrey Sabean (wife-Phyllis Anne), Daughter Teressa Lynn Mirault (husband-Joseph) their children (the grandchildren) Joseph and Ian Mirault and their four children (great grandchildren), Her partner and travel companion, Fernand Samson, Her Sister Elizabeth Hansen (husband-Kyeld) and their son Steven and his family as well as her brother Dave Malloy.
A celebration of her life to follow in late spring at her favorite place in the world, Puntzi Lake, B.C.
