Philip York Obituary

Philip passed away on Sunday October 24, 2021, at Glacier View Lodge in Courtenay, B.C. from a lengthy illness at the age of 65 years.

Philip was born March 23, 1956, in St. Catherines. Ontario to parents George and Joan York and a short time later moved to B.C.

Philip will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. We will miss his witty, off-colored humor. Philip worked many years in the logging industry. He had a love for old cars and was a truly committed “Trekkie” (onto his next voyage).

Philip is predeceased by his mother; Joan Valerie York, father; George Wesley York, and sister; Carol Anne McEachren.

Philip is survived by his three children, sons; Jason Down, Richard Bone and daughter; Amanda Bone, brother; Allan York and sisters; Colleen and Toni.

Thank you to the staff at Glacier View Lodge and Dr. Swanson for the wonderful care provided. Also, thank you to Toneff Funeral Services for their assistance and compassion.

There will be a graveside service at the Cumberland Cemetery on November 19th at 1:00 p.m.
