Peter Wilson Obituary

Peter Edward Wilson passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 79.

Peter lived a life rooted in hard work, creativity, and quiet strength. Throughout his life, he took on a wide range of rugged and rewarding professions, most of which were self-employed. He worked as a logger, in land clearing, road building, and as a commercial fisherman, and later contributed his time and skills to local parks.

Peter will be fondly remembered for his deep love of nature, his green thumb in the garden, his enthusiastic talent for building and fixing things, and his appreciation for art in all its forms.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy; his daughters, Megan (Barry) and Anna (Justin); and his cherished granddaughter. He also leaves behind his siblings: Julia (Bill), Nancy (Rankin), David (Becky), and Wynona. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Teddy and Gladys, and his siblings Ron and Nadine.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff at both Victoria General Hospital and Comox Valley Hospital. From dietary aides and care aides to lab technicians, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and doctors—your compassionate care and dedication to Peter’s healing were deeply appreciated.

A celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at the Comox Valley Presbyterian Church,

725 Aspen Rd, Comox on October 18, 2025

from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favourite animal adoption society in Peter’s memory.
