Peter Killon

Peter Killon, age 86, died peacefully on February 23, 2020, at North Island Hospital in Campbell River.

Peter is survived by his children Terry Killon, Trish LaFrance and Scott Killon, brother John Killon and sister Trish Carroll. He is preceded in death by his brother David Killon and wife Mary.

Peter was born on October 24, 1933 in London England, to parents William Killon and Lilly Killon (Dodd).

As a young adult he moved to Vancouver BC from England with his parents and siblings. In 1956, Peter married Mary Hames and shortly after that they moved to the small community of Granville located 50 km outside of Dawson City, Yukon, where Peter worked for YCGC on the gold dredges. Their first two children, Terry and Trish, were born in Dawson City. They returned to Vancouver where Scott was born.

Peter was an accomplished woodworker and carpenter by trade. He was a perfectionist in all he did and was very well respected in the trade industry.

Peter was a great family man and a loving father. He was adventurist and had a love of travel. His family and friends will always remember him as being the life of the party.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on March 14, 2020 in Surrey. Invitations will be sent out to family and friends with the details, on or before March 10th. . He will be laid to rest with his wife Mary Killon at Capilano View Cemetery in West Vancouver on March 17th at 11:30am.
