Paul MacDougall Obituary

Paul Thomas MacDougall – passed on May 16th, 2020. Paul was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on January 14th, 1951. Paul is pre-deceased by his mother Hope (Tanner) MacDougall and his father James MacDougall. He is survived by his three brothers Roland (Vancouver, BC), Allan (Glace Bay, NS) and Kevin (Red Deer, AB). He’s also survived by his children Michelle (Edmonton), Dwayne (Ontario), Ryan (Boston) and Nicholas (Nfld).

Paul served in the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy) and spent time on the sea in many parts of the world. He then went on to work as an electrician in the Cape Breton Mine Industry. Paul relocated to the west coast Vancouver Island to be close to his passion with sailing. Paul will be remembered as a talented individual and could pretty well put his hand to anything. Paul will be missed by his family and friends and always remembered for his humor and hard work ethics.

A virtual celebration of life service will be arranged prior to placing Paul in his final resting place with his Mom and Dad at Greenwood Cemetery. The family requests donations to the John Howard Society (Nanaimo BC) in lieu of flowers.
