Patricia ( Patti ) Archibald Obituary

Patricia Margaret Archibald

February 10, 1945 – September 21, 2023

Patti Archibald, friend to many, passed peacefully on the afternoon of September 21st  at Avenir in Nanaimo where she had resided for the last 20 months.

Patti grew up in Vancouver/White Rock area.  She joined BC Tel but her passion for travel led her to begin the career of her choice with Canadian Pacific Airlines.  After 5 years working in Vancouver she transferred to Calgary Airport and worked there until her retirement in 2000.  After retirement she moved to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.

Patti was predeceased by her Father John, Mother Margaret, Brother John and Sister-In-Law Sandy.  She is survived by her nieces Lisa and Karalyn (Jared) and great niece Willow Grace and the countless friends that she has made over the years, some of which have shared a friendship for more than 50 years.

Patti loved to gather her friends around her and organize dinner parties, activities and trips.  She was funny and kind and memories of her will be cherished by all who knew her.

Thank you to the staff at Avenir and the many friends, especially Sandra and Kathy, who supported Patti in her last few years of life.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC or an Animal Shelter of your choice.

Please join us for a celebratory party to honor Patti’s life on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 at Nanaimo Golf Club, 2800 Highland Boulevard, Nanaimo, from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
