Our dear Stanley Norman Jarvis, born April 27/1939 in Drumheller, AB passed away peacefully at Wexford Creek Seniors Facility Nov.4/24. Stan spent his last 4 days with his wife of 58 years and 3 daughters by his side, laughing, singing, crying, storytelling, and sleeping on his floor. He surrendered to his battle with dementia after many years, and passed with dignity and grace, being spoiled with love and entertainment.
Stan loved helping people. He devoted 35 years to Harmac/Island Phoenix division, working in First Aid and he volunteered for year's teaching children first aid in order to compete in high-level competitions. Later in life he practised Healing-touch, supporting the natural ability to heal.
He loved Tai Chi, dancing, reading, going to the movies, family time, animals, and devoted many years of his life to the Loyal Order of Moose where he was awarded the Pilgrim Degree of Merit for his exceptional service for the fraternity.
Stan was serious, yet witty.
He was a listener, yet a storyteller.
He was a wanderer, yet a homebody.
He was a bad ass, yet gentle.
He was loved as big as the sky.
Stan will be missed dearly by his wife Susan, daughters Michele/Mike, Rae-Lyn/Paul, Carol, and his grandchildren, Ryder, Miller and Brandi.
A Celebration of Life will be held February 1/2024 at the Moose Hall at 2pm.
