Mavis (Livingston) Strachan

It is with heavy hearts and fond memories we announce the passing of Mavis Strachan. Mavis was born in Manitoba, August 16, 1936, and passed away peacefully in Courtenay, November 16, 2023.  Mavis enjoyed her many years in the Comox Valley, playing bingo, cards with friends, and walking at the Airpark.  In her earlier years Mavis worked at Eatons and banks while raising her three children.  She is survived by her daughter Linda Welch, son Dennis (Kelly) Strachan, and daughter Sherri Knodel, as well as 3 grandchildren: Darren, Larry and RJ, and 3 great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her husband Malcom, and brother Cal Livingston. Mavis was kind, strong and independent and will be missed.
