Maureen Kogstad ( nee: Webster ) Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Maureen Kogstad (née Webster)

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Maureen Kogstad (née Webster) a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunty, and friend. Maureen passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life beautifully lived and hearts forever touched by her kindness.

Maureen’s life was a testament to generosity and service. For many years, she volunteered with the Hospital Auxiliary thrift store, offering her warm spirit and helping hands to support countless individuals and her local community.

Maureen was also a dedicated supporter of children with diverse abilities. As a proud member of the White Raven Canoe Club, she spent many joyful years fundraising for the Variety – The Children’s Charity of BC, helping to bring hope and brighter futures to children and families in need. Her compassion and tireless efforts made a meaningful difference, reflecting her belief in lifting others up wherever she could.

Above all, Maureen was the heart of her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Norm Kogstad, and her dear daughter, Karen Kogstad Sevcov, whose memories she carried close to her heart.

Maureen’s love lives on through her devoted family:

- Daughter Brenda-Lee Ranger and husband Brett Ranger,

- Daughter Becky-Lou Kogstad and partner Theodore Barsby,

- Son Todd Kogstad,

- Grandsons Luc Palen, Trent Pagani and his partner Tia,

- Granddaughter Kae-Lee Pagani,

- And great-grandson Liam Palen.

She was also a beloved aunty and loyal friend to many, always ready with an open heart, a thoughtful word, and a warm smile.

Maureen’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an enduring commitment to her community. Her strength, compassion, and selfless spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A celebration of Maureen’s life will be held July 27th, from noon to three 201-1585 Bowen Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen’s memory may be made to the Variety the Children’s Charity of BC or your local Hospital Auxiliary, continuing her tradition of caring for others.

“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.”

Rest peacefully, dear mom. You are deeply loved and will be forever missed.
