Matthew Cole Kennelly

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of our dearest Matthew Cole Kennelly on October 21, 2024, in Cowichan Bay at the age of 26.

Matthew leaves to mourn his Mother, Ruby Kennelly, Father, Thomas Kennelly (Tina), Sister Tara Kennelly (Kahlil) brother Tony Kennelly (Laura) Grandparents Fran and Ed Pellegrin, Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his big brother Rory Kennelly.     

Matthew was born and raised in Campbell River. He was fearless, intelligent and caring by all who knew him. Always standing strong for family and friends, a loving Uncle to nieces and nephews.                     

Matthew graduated from Robron School, worked with his father in logging for a while, then with The Brick delivering furniture, also later with his brother Tony building cabinets and doing installation. The last couple years Matthew worked for a paving company and traveled throughout BC building and repairing highways.                             

A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held on Saturday June 14 at Maritime Heritage Museum at 12 pm for family and friends.
