In loving memory of Margaret Lenore McCabe (Nee Leys)

Margaret was born in Campbell River on October 28, 1947.

Margaret is predeceased by her beloved parents, Douglas and Dorothy Leys.

She is loved and will be remembered by; Her loving husband; Shon McCabe. Her siblings; Marjorie Dormer, Heather Keith, and Douglas Leys Jr. Her Sons; Shon Jr McCabe (Marcella) and Darrin McCabe (Rose). Her Grandchildren; Shon Jr. Day (Jessie), Ashley Day (Dan) Amy McCabe, Emily McCabe, Desiree Gerakios (Taso), Cheyenne Perrault (Dave), Erik Dube, and Kyra Brumbaugh. Her Great Grandchildren; Kaydance McCabe, Jaxson Day, Austin Weismiller, Haley Heward, Emily Heward, and Emma Gerakios. Her special friends in her life were Angie Perrault, Sandra Beech, Michael Dennison, and Robert Beech, along with numerous extended family members and friends.

Margaret was a loving wife and caring mother to her two sons. She loved to cook wholesome, home cooked meals, including amazing homemade bread and baked goods. She loved to make huge meals where we all would take part and share time together. Family was very important to her and she made sure to include everyone. A woman who was smart and patient, she taught her boys school during their young days of living at the Lagoon. Margaret loved the outdoors, especially being in her gardens of vegetables, flowers, and herbs. She had a green thumb and took pride in creating a beautiful yard where her family loved to gather. Margaret loved to play the piano and would take time with anyone who wanted to sit with her to listen or to learn. Her love for piano was so grand, that her and Shon hired a helicopter to fly in a piano to the Lagoon. She spent the majority of her days beside her caring husband, working, laughing, learning, and praying together. Her faith was strong, and she instilled this belief in her family and spoke the word of God to those around her.

She will be always be loved and be forever remembered.
