Lester Fogg

With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Lester Fogg in Ladysmith on July 12, 2025, at the age of 63.

Born on June 15, 1962, Lester grew up in the Comox Valley and remained a lifelong resident of Vancouver Island, where his heart was always rooted. He worked for many years at the Lorne Hotel & Pub, where he was a familiar face, known for his easygoing nature, sharp wit, and generous spirit. Whether serving a regular or sharing a laugh, Lester made everyone feel welcome.

He lived his life with sincerity and heart, finding joy in simple pleasures and deep connections. A lifelong NASCAR enthusiast, Lester was never happier than when watching a race, talking cars, or hearing the roar of an engine. Off the track, he found peace on the golf course, where he spent countless hours enjoying the game he loved and the company of friends.

Lester was predeceased by his loving mother, Sylvia Fogg, and his best friend, Wayne Lyon. He is survived by his father, Alan Fogg and friend Patricia Kirkham; his brother, Steve Fogg (former wife Sue Fogg); and his sister, Annette Fogg (Don Craig). He will be dearly missed by his niece Lindsy (Sid) and nephews Mathew (Sydney) and Aaron.

Lester had a way of making people feel seen and valued. Whether sharing a laugh over coffee, cheering from the stands, or lining up his next putt, he left a lasting impression. His presence brought warmth, his stories brought smiles, and his absence leaves a space we will never quite fill.

Though his final lap came far too soon, Lester’s legacy lives on in the memories we hold and the lives he touched.
