Born to Alf and Kay Collier April 11, 1942, died September 12, 2025

A proud Nana to Myles (Nicole), Melissa (Tyler), Calvin (Anika) and Ambrose (Tessa). She also leaves behind her two sons and cherished daughter-in-laws, Jamie (Denise) and Chad (Julie). As well as her life long special daughter Corry (Rick). She is also survived by her beloved brother Alfie, who shared it all.

Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Jim November 23, 2013.

Kathleen was a Northfield girl and fourth generation Nanaimoite. Her family meant everything to Kathleen, especially her grandchildren. They were always in her thoughts right to the end. Mom walked pretty much everywhere, she never had a driver's license. She was probably most known for walking long distances around Nanaimo to watch her grandchildren's events. School or sports, she supported them all.

As her family we have always experienced "your Mom/Nana is so nice" when people realized our lineage. From her lifetime in Nanaimo we were always meeting people who knew her and her kindness. We were lucky to have her.

Mom overcame more challenges in her life than we perhaps realized. She passed after a hard fought battle with dementia. It was a challenging last 18 months, but her final time with us was calm and peaceful thanks to the loving care provided by the staff at Chemainus Health Care Long Term Care.

As Kathleen wished, no service or flowers. Farewell Nana.
