Joy Ann (Martin) Card

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joy Ann Card on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, surrounded by family.

Predeceased by her husband Ray Card and Daughter Tassie; her parents Charlie and Margaret Martin as well as her brother Gary Martin.

Joy was a loving mother, nannie, great-nan, as well as a favourite auntie to many nieces and nephews. Joy loved to play baseball and used to sneak out to pitch the game. She also enjoyed cooking for family and friends and would never let anyone else do the dishes. Joy and Ray spent some time living in Bear Bay and Rock Bay creating so many memories later told as stories to family and friends, including her and her girlfriends going fishing for the big one!

Joy was so proud of her family and would do anything for them. She will be dearly missed by her son Clint (Michelle), grandchildren Charisse, Kaitlyn, Curtis (Brae), and Cassidy, Great-grandchildren Tanner, Payten, and Carter. Sisters Kathy (John) Kelly, Robbin (Robin) Frame, Becky (Wayne) Walker, and brother Garney Martin and her sister-in-law Judy Williams. As well as all her numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Joy’s life will be held at a later date.
