John (Jack) Arnold Johnson

June 29, 1953 – August 29, 2025

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Jack on August 29, 2025, with his family by his side. Jack fought a short but valiant battle with cancer.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, Arnie and Elsie Johnson, and he leaves behind his brother David (Kathy), niece Erin (Ethan), sister Valerie (Bill), aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.

Jack’s family would like to thank his dear friend Noreen for her support and kindness; Chartwell Edgewater Care Residence 4th Floor team for their exceptional care and compassion for Jack, and their kindness to our family; paramedics Shelby and Barry for their help and kindness; the Nanaimo Cancer Clinic staff; and the first and fourth floor nursing staff at NRGH.

In honour of Jack’s memory, donations to the B.C. Cancer Agency would be greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday November 2, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Nanaimo Golf Club, A.V. Macan Hall. Please come out and share your stories and memories of Jack.

Jack will be deeply missed.
