With great sadness, the family of Jeffrey Tod Verbonac announce his unexpected passing on Monday, January 30th, 2023 at the age of 44. He will be remembered by his daughter, Jazmyne; father, Ray Verbonac; mother, Elizabeth Gruben; sisters, Breanne (Travis) and KaraLee (Alex), nieces, Samantha and Dylan; and many more family members and friends.

Jeff was born in Edmonton, AB on September 6th, 1978. He lived with his family in Cranbrook, Moose Jaw and Calgary, where he spent most of his years. While he moved around for work, Jeff most recently lived in Victoria, BC working in construction.

Jeff was incredibly proud of his daughter and told anyone within earshot of her achievements and ambitions. He had many big ideas and was an extremely charismatic person. It was well known that Jeff would do anything he could for his friends. He had a passion for nature and dreamt of living on the water and seeing more of the world. Jeff enjoyed fishing, camping, panning for gold, cooking, watching sports and playing games with his family and friends.

We invite you to share memories and celebrate Jeff’s life with us on Saturday, March 25th starting at 11am at the New Brighton Clubhouse - 2 New Brighton Drive SE, Calgary, AB. Dress as you are most comfortable, as he would have liked.
