Jason Kadlecik Obituary

Jason William James Kadlecik

June 18, 1969 – September 3, 2024

It is with a heavy heart we announce that Jason Kadlecik, born on June 18, 1969, in London, Ontario, Canada, passed away after his brief battle with cancer on September 3, 2024, in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Jason pursued a teaching career as an electrical instructor, educating the next generation of electricians. He spent eleven years from 2007 to 2018 at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, Alberta and more recently at Vancouver Island University (VIU) in Nanaimo, BC. His passion for teaching extended beyond borders, as he undertook a proud mission to Kenya back in May 2024 to share his knowledge and empower local electricians.

Jason was known for his gregarious and sociable nature, always giving time to others and making those around him feel special and valued. Jason also had a passion for cars, more specifically Camaros, and would drive to great lengths to visit friends who shared this passion. He also loved Marvel movies, reading lengthy books and anything relating to science fiction.

Jason is survived by his loving wife, Louise Hodgson with whom he spent over 30 years, his mother, Sharon Kadlecik, his brother, Jeff Kadlecik and his wife Pat Kadlecik, his sister, Sarah Abt and her husband Christian Abt, along with cherished nieces and nephews, including Tyler, Ashlyn, Ryan, Brooklyn, and Kaitlyn.

His warm spirit and unwavering care for others made a significant impact on everyone he encountered. Jason will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the love and kindness he shared throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and community, deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jason, we love you 3000.
