October 28, 1947 - July 14, 2024

In Loving Memory of a beautiful soul who always talked and looked for the good in everyone.

Born October 28, 1947 in Vancouver, BC and passed peacefully in Nanaimo on July 14, 2024.

 Liz was predeceased by her sister Margaret.  

Liz was born in Vancouver before the family moved east to Ontario and Quebec and then multiple moves to Edmonton, Scotland and Germany, following her father’s career in the Air Force, before returning to the Lower Mainland where she finished her schooling in Richmond.   She moved to the island in 1969 where she started her banking career.   After raising her children she continued her education and attained her designation of Chartered Financial Planner and later a Certified Financial Planner.

Liz enjoyed bike riding and may have been the reason a certain fast food chain changed their policy and started allowing cyclist to go through the drive thru to order a soft ice cream cone.

Her favourite past times were anything to do with her children and grandchildren.  Although she had several setbacks in her life, never once did she complain and was very proud of family and their accomplishments.

She spent 50 years of her life in her treasured home in Cassidy.  She is survived by her brother Tom, her children Katherine (Eric), Tom (Shelley), Denisa (Carl) and her grandchildren Gabe, Charlize, Libby, and Milly.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at the Eagles Hall in Ladysmith, BC ot 1:30pm on Saturday August 10, 2024. ”
