Gerald George Haberland

Gerald George Haberland was born in Magdeburg East Germany May 11, 1936 and
Immigrated to Canada at 17, turned 18 shortly after arrival and became a Canadian Citizen in April 1960.

He met and  then married Elaine Dorothy Michl on October 27, 1962.  Then they welcomed 4 children - Randy, Gerald Jr, Darryl, and Lori and many grand children and great grand children that followed.
Gerald's passion for sports was passed onto his children, he was involved particularly with soccer and hockey.

Gerald never backed down from any challenge, and followed everything through to the finish no matter what the end result was.

After battling several different cancers for over 2 decades, he finally succumbed
to lung cancer on August 26, 2025 at 1:30pm.

Geralds bright blue twinkling eyes and tenacious spirit will be forever missed.
