Predeceased by her husband Eric.
Survived by her loving family: daughter Sandra (Dick), grandson Jeremy (Katarina), great-grandchildren Julian and Katherine, stepdaughter Alison (step grandchildren Tamsyn and Ross), stepdaughters Sylvia (Rick), Cathy (Bill), Terri; their children and grandchildren.
Personal information:
Elizabeth Doreen Semmens passed away on October 7, 2024, just short of her 100th birthday. ‘Doreen’ - as she was known - was born in England, and taught organ and keyboard after moving to Vancouver Island. She enjoyed treading the boards at Ladysmith Little Theatre and took up creative writing after Eric passed away in 2012. Many people will remember her walking her little dog, Rusty, the subject of an article published in Take Five.
