Duane Robert Hickey

Duane Hickey, Of Campbell River, B.C., died August 24, 2024 at Campbell River Hospital of cancer.

He was born on June 23, 1967, in Halifax, N.S. to George and Sylvia (Hardiman) but raised in Belleoram, NL.

Duane married Laura (Eisan) on April 12, 2008, in French Lake, New Brunswick.

He was a 20-year Veteran of the Canadian Armed forces, Artillery; having served in Oka, Alert and Bosnia. Finally retiring in 2006 at C.F.B. Gagetown, NB.

Duane loved fishing, which was the primary reason for moving across the country to Campbell River. He especially liked to catch the Pinks in the Quinsam River.

He is survived by his wife Laura, mother Sylvia, sister Tina and brother, Darrell. As well as children Garrett Stang and Angela Zinck.

Duane was predeceased by his father Phillip George Hickey.

Funeral services will be at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Campbell River, B.C. on September 11, 2024 at 2pm.
