Donald Alexander Forsyth

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Don Forsyth.  He has taken his last train ride here on earth June 6, 2021.

He will be greatly missed by Karen (Stuart) Lavoie, Kim Forsyth, Kevin (Kari) Forsyth, Grandson, Cody (Diane Mother)

He is joining his brother George, Daughter Deborah, Wife Joyce, Mother Isabella, Father Roy, Grandson Kristopher and Adam and Son Ken

Don joined the Canadian Armed forces in September 1958.  He met his wife Joyce while on a flight and they were married in July 1962, they raised 4 children.  

Don enjoyed model trains from a young age and anyone that knew him can attest to his love of reading about trains, creating working layouts and even watching current TV shows about trains.  He would spend hours running them on his layouts.

Don was also a problem solver, as his children can attest to if there was a situation that needed some creative, out of the box thought on how to build or create something he was the go-to. Many neighborhood kids can also say Mr. Forsyth taught me how to parallel park, there were many times you could look out and see the garbage cans lined up to represent parked cars.

A Celebration of Life will be announced in the future. In honor of his memory please take the opportunity to Be Kind to one another and when appropriate catch up on all of the HUGS we have missed.
