Regina, Saskatchewan - Comox, British Columbia
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donald (Don) Albert Biddle, aged 86, announces his passing on Monday, November 3rd. Don was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and spent most of his life in Vancouver before moving to Comox on Vancouver Island in 2001.
Don was well known and highly respected in the towing industry. He founded Unitow Towing, managed Busters Towing, and was part owner of Drake Towing. His dedication, strong leadership, and genuine connection with his employees left a lasting mark on all who worked with and knew him.
In Comox, Don embraced a slower pace of life. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with family and friends, and the peaceful rhythm of island living. He also loved gathering with his buddies at The Legion and The Wing, sharing laughs, stories, and good company. He had a soft spot for animals and enjoyed being surrounded by his beloved pets. In his final months, his faithful little dog Coco provided comfort and companionship, rarely leaving his side.
Don is lovingly remembered by his wife, Vicky; his children Ronna (Bob), Lesa (Mike), and Scott; and his stepchildren David (Yumiko), Deleen (David), and Cecily (George). He will also be deeply missed by his eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Don will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, and the care he showed to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
In keeping with Don’s wishes, there will be no formal service. The family invites friends and loved ones to honour him in their own way and to remember him with warmth and affection.
