October 26, 1945 - March 1, 2025
It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Dennis Pinfold on March 1, 2025 at the age of 79. Dennis will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his beautiful wife of 59 years Mary and their children, Jacqueline, Cathleen(James), Dennis Jr.(Erika), Maureen(Frank) and his grandchildren, Myles, Ethen, Beau & Emma. Sister Claudia(David), and brother Robin. And so many beloved sister and brother-in-laws and wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
Dennis was always a family man first, humble and kind and always willing to listen or lend a hand. He had a love of sports especially hockey and the Edmonton Oilers. He was a dedicated coach to his children sports teams for many years and was a great mentor and honored coach. Dennis had a love for creating and crafting and could fix or build anything and loved vintage vehicles, he passed many of those loves on to his family. Dennis was also proud to have served his country as a Veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy.
He retired on his beloved Vancouver Island in 2012 with the love of his life Mary, they enjoyed 12 lovely years there together. Dennis fought a long battle with Lung Disease all along showing grace, courage and dignity just as he lived his life. Dennis will be forever missed and loved. We will mourn him but will celebrate the great man that he was by honoring his memory in our thoughts and actions.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude and thanks to the wonderful care team at Cowichan Hospice House.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date on Vancouver Island.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Lung Association
