David Lloyd Peet
Dec. 9, 1944 – Nov. 9, 2023
It is with great sorrow and the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of David Lloyd Peet of Bowser, B.C. on Thursday November 9 in Parksville, B.C. at the age of 78.
David was born in Edson, AB growing up in the house built by his father and mother. Residing there with his four siblings until 1963, he went to Canmore, AB to work for Spray Lakes Sawmill for the summer. This same year his parents and siblings moved to Calgary, where he joined them after the summer to finish school. After only three weeks there, he determined that city life was not for him. He returned to Canmore, living with his aunt and uncle, Pearl and Dean Marshall and their children. He worked again at Spray Lakes Sawmill, saving money and purchasing his own home. Eventually he created his own logging company under contract for Spray Lakes Sawmill. Around 1988, his love and passion for fishing led him to Bowser, B.C. where he worked and retired from a woodworking facility.
David was predeceased by his father, Charles Frederick Peet, his mother, Joyce Margaret Peet (Moxam) and his sister Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Stegen.
David will be greatly missed by his siblings Gilbert (Elaine) Peet of Medicine Hat, AB., Robert (Lynn) Peet of Medicine Hat, AB., and Gladys Lemperger of Medicine Hat, AB., many nieces and nephews, as well as his second family, the Marshalls.
A celebration of life will held in Edson next spring, the date to be announced by family.
