Dale Alexander Scott

Dale Scott, beloved husband of Karin Voll, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the age of 80 years. Dale was born and raised in Vermillion, Alberta. He married and had 4 daughters. Dale was employed with Edmon Telephone Company.

In Dale’s lifetime, he completed four important items on his bucket list. He travelled around the world for one year. He visited Belize, (former British Honduras), twice. He lived at Aiken Lake, deep in the bush, and built a beautiful log cabin and homestead with his partner, Karin. Finally, Dale sailed his own sailboat.

Dale carried so much knowledge about the world around him, and quietly lived generosity, kindness, compassion and wisdom. He practiced what he believed and lived his truth.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Karin Voll, children Susan (Jeff) Follis, April (Dirk) Scholten, Andrea (Andre) Scott, three grandchildren (Adam, Sydney and Kennedy), sister Dorothy Scully, sister-in-laws Helen Scott and Helen Scott, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dale was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Fred Scott, brothers (Gordon Scott and John Scott), brother-in -law Roger Scully and daughter Fae Scott.

Those we love don’t go away

They walk beside us every day.

Unseen, unheard,

But always near.

Still loved, still missed

And very dear.

Celebrations of Dale’s life will take place in the summer in Vermillion, Alberta, and in Campbell River, B.C. (the dates and times to be announced).
