BADEN LEWIS

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather Baden William Lewis in Nanaimo B.C. on January 22nd, 2020.

He leaves behind his daughter Terry of Nanaimo, his sons Richard (Sheila) of Port Alberni and  Bill (Deena) of Vernon BC; seven grandchildren including Crystal (John) of Pouce Coupe, Megan (Yves) of Nanaimo, Reno and Spencer of Port Alberni, Christopher (Krista), Cody (Cara), and Amanda (Devin) from the Okanagan as well as two great grandchildren Madison and Bowen.

Dad served in the RCAF for 31 years and retired as a Master Warrant Officer in 1981.  He loved fishing with Mom in their little boat the “CRYSTAL” out from the Comox Marina where he worked after retirement as a caretaker and working in his home shop fixing anything he could find.  His biggest passion was making his family happy. Dad was a kind, caring, funny, quick-witted and loving man to all who had the honour and pleasure to know him.

Thank you to all the staff who cared for Dad during his short time at Eden Gardens in Nanaimo.  We would like to especially show our appreciation to Anita and Trudy. You will never know how happy you made Dad feel with your caring smiles and great conversations. 

The family have agreed to wait for spring to hold a graveside service for Mom and Dad together in Courtenay B.C.
