Doug is predeceased by his father- William Julius Johnson (January 29, 1971), his mother- Mable Lillian Johnson (January 24, 1992), and his granddaughter- Ashley Louise Campbell (June 25, 2006).

He is survived by his children; Robert Johnson, Victoria, BC; Delyce (Rick) Harrison, Sharpsburg, Georgia; Tammie (Chuck) Campbell, Nanaimo, BC. His grandchildren; Shaina (Brandon) Tolhurst, Prescott Valley, Arizona; James (Amber) Tolhurst, Newnan Georgia; Jessica (Riley) Zannet Regina, Sask., great grandchild; Abigail Tolhurst, Newnan Georgia. His sisters; Erna (Doug) Jobb, Edmonton, Alberta; Anne (Jacob) Rusten, Loten, Norway, and his brothers; Dick (Verlie) Johnson, Kamloops, BC; Stew (Carol) Johnson, Victoria, BC.

Doug was a Korean War Veteran having served in Canada’s Peace Keeping Forces overseas. Doug was also a 37 year employee of Alcan Aluminium in Kitimat BC.

There will be no service for Doug and his cremated remains will be placed in the ocean, as per his wishes.

Donations will be welcomed to the Alzheimers Society of BC.
