Ronald Pickering Lloyd

Ronald Pickering Lloyd passed away peacefully on August 3, 2019 at Nanaimo Senior Village in Nanaimo. Ron was born in Donalda,  Alberta on May 8th, 1930. He is survived by his wife Marina , daughters Linda ( Raj )  and Lorelei , grandchildren Kathleen ( Eric ) , Lindsey , Samantha ( Stephen ) , & Charlea ( Jacovey ) and his Great Grandchildren Benjamin and Lily. A quiet family service was held August 9th as per his wishes. We wish to share this shortened version of a poem by David Romano.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

When tomorrow starts without me please try to understand, 

that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand

The Angel said my place was ready, In Heaven above, 

And that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love

but when I walked through Heaven's Gates, I felt so much at home

For God looked down on me, smiled and told me welcome home.

So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart,

for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart.

Our family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Dad during his last few months in complex care and at the hospital.

We extend an open invitation to family who might be interested in joining us for a couple of days in Radium this October - one of Dad's favorite holiday spots.
