Nadine Towell

September 18, 1943 - December 11, 2019

 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nadine Towell,  peacefully in her home, surrounded by friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Barbara and Charles Towell, and her nephew Christopher.

Born and raised in England, she immigrated to Canada in 1971 after working for some years in Australia and Tripoli.
 Left behind to mourn in Britain are her brother and sister-in-law, Bev and Mavis Towell; nieces Ruth (Ross) and Jo; as well as great niece, Jaya.

Nadine volunteered for several groups including Community Justice, the Sid Williams Theater, L’Arche and the Glacier Grannies. The latter, in particular, benefitted from her many talents and generosity.

After her terminal cancer diagnosis, she was deeply appreciative of the many friends who supported her on her final journey. Special thanks to Dr. Ostry and Dr. Daws for showing such compassion, care and support to Nadine, especially in her final days.

A Celebration of Life for Nadine will be held in the New Year; Details will be announced at a later date.
