John (Jack) Albert Mullin

John (Jack) Mullin Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack (John Albert) Mullin on Wednesday September 18, 2019. He was predeceased by his mother, Emma Johncox, stepfather, Ellard Johncox and father, Harold Mullin.

Jack will be lovingly remembered by sons, Jody Mullin (Judy) and Marty Mullin, daughter, Christine Mullin, mother of his children, Charlotte Mullin, sisters, Jill, Terry (Edmond ), Gail, and Gloria, his beloved grandchildren, Cory Mullin (Shayla), Jordyn Mullin, and Devyn Mullin, his extended family and many dear friends. Jack was born in Cochrane, Ontario on March 27, 1938. He ranked as a Leading Aircraftman with the Royal Canadian Air Force working as an Armament Systems Technician in Ontario and then with the 409 Squadron at the Canadian Forces Base in the Comox Valley. He worked for several television stations including CFCL and as an electrician for Ontario Hydro and the Abitibi Power and Paper Company in Ontario.  While in Campbell River he worked at the Elk Falls Pulp and Paper Mill where he retired.  

He will be forever remembered as an avid outdoors man, a highly-skilled electrician, a sharpshooter with the Campbell River Gun Club, and a humorist who loved a great joke. He was an accomplished trumpet and piano player, a respected hunter and fisherman, a motorcycle enthusiast, a distinguished dart player, and a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 137.

Services will be held Sunday October 20, 2019 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 137 at 1:30 pm in Campbell River, British Columbia.

In lieu of flowers people are encouraged to make a donation to the Royal Canadian Legion.
